Job Description:
- As a consultant Project Manager / Product Owner for the Demand Forecasts initiative, you will drive the development and delivery of an innovative solution to tackle key business challenges. The initiative aims to address delays in market share data, unify demand forecasts for budget planning, and create a centralized dashboard to monitor real-time market disruptions. By enabling better anticipation of these disruptions, you will empower the organization to make informed, data-driven decisions.
- You will report directly to a Project Manager of the Lines & Pricing Transformation within the department, ensuring alignment with broader departmental goals and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of the Demand Forecasts initiative, ensuring timely delivery, alignment with business objectives, and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Product Ownership: Define and prioritize the product backlog, translating business needs into actionable requirements. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, developers, and business stakeholders, to ensure the product’s success.
- Collaboration with Data Science Teams: Coordinate with data scientists to develop predictive models for market demand and ensure their integration into the product, translating complex data insights into user-friendly tools and dashboards.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact between business units, data experts, and development teams. Gather feedback, align expectations, and maintain a strong focus on delivering value.
- Market Analysis & Forecasting: Ensure the platform provides accurate, up-to-date market share data and demand forecasts, helping teams across the organization anticipate market changes and plan accordingly.
- Centralized Monitoring & Reporting: Oversee the development of a dashboard that offers real-time insights into market disruptions, allowing for quick reactions to external factors impacting demand and performance.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Project Management: Proven experience in managing complex projects, preferably in a data-centric environment. Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Product Management/Ownership: Demonstrated success in defining and delivering digital products with a focus on user experience and value creation.
- Data Expertise: Familiarity with data science concepts, particularly in the context of forecasting and predictive analytics. Experience working with data scientists is highly desirable.
- Technical Proficiency: Understanding of data tools, analytics platforms, and the technical aspects of building dashboards or predictive models. Ability to bridge the gap between technical and business teams.
- Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details into business language and present to diverse audiences.
- Problem Solving & Adaptability: A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
- Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum) and experience managing product backlogs and iterative development cycles.
Languages:
- French and English are mandatory as workshops will need to happen in both languages
