Roles and Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise API and Integration Product Owner to lead the development and management of our reusable APIs within the context of our core gas distribution network systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving API product strategy, working closely with cross-functional agile teams, ensuring seamless integration with SAP technology. This role is critical in modernizing and optimizing our digital infrastructure to deliver innovative, reliable, and scalable solutions across the organisation.
Define and execute the product roadmap for enterprise APIs and integrations, focusing on creating reusable, scalable, and secure API solutions that support critical business processes and developed experiences within the gas distribution network.
Background:
- Must have prior experience as Technical Product Owner in recent past.
- Five or more years of experience in building and launching various APIs, including API-led products and services (API, B2C, Microservices ).
- Well versed on development of API standards and governance around the future-state Integration tier which aligns with principles of self-service, minimal cognitive load, standardized service
- Carries understanding /proficiency to ensures that API products are secure, interoperable, scalable, and capable of supporting complex business interactions.
- Good exposure with leading API platform stack (SAP & Non-SAP) around releases, support, roadmap and delivery of features.
- Must have good knowledge and experience around REST, Open API, SOAP, XML, JSON
- Good exposure to lead SCRUM/Product team on a day-to-day basis along the axis of prioritizing backlog to make informed trade-off between new feature development and optimization, dependencies, risks, planning, refinement and present outcomes to stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or/and 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or API Manager in an enterprise setting.
- Solid experience with SAP systems and technology integration , including SAP API Management, SAP BTP , SAP Cloud Integration , SAP Event Mesh , Azure API management
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies including SaFe
- Strong understanding of security, compliance, and data protection in a regulated industry.
