Key Responsibilities:
- Architecture & Design
- Design and oversee the architecture of complex BSS, Core, Data, and IMS solutions, ensuring they meet scalability, reliability, and performance requirements.
- Define and implement architecture best practices for cloud-native microservices environments leveraging K8s, Docker, and mesh technologies (e.g., Istio).
- Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and operations teams to align product functionality with customer requirements and business objectives.
- API Strategy and Implementation
- Lead the development and implementation of Open Gateway Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) and other Open Gateway API initiatives (GSMA standards).
- Work on API management and integration using REST, SOAP, YAML, and SWAGGER to deliver streamlined and reliable user experiences.
- Integrate with third-party services and implement API Gateway solutions, supporting advanced functionalities like load balancing, authentication, and monitoring.
- Standards and Protocols
- Implement Camara Standards and drive adherence to best practices for API development and deployment.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards for data security, interoperability, and API implementation.
- Lead integration of iPerf, NPerf, and similar tools to validate and monitor network performance, ensuring quality service delivery.
- Network Architecture and BSS Expertise
- Provide expertise in telecommunications network protocols, network architectures, and the implementation of BSS components.
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of Kafka and message streaming to build robust data pipelines and manage real-time data flows across networked services.
- Collaboration and Mentorship
- Act as a mentor to junior architects and developers, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and adoption of new technologies and standards.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to incorporate emerging technologies and best practices into product strategies.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 14+ Years of experience in telecommunications, with a strong focus on network architecture, BSS systems, and API development.
- Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with GSMA Open Gateway NaaS / Open Gateway APIs and Camara Standards.
