About the Role:
As a Network & Security Operations Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and security of our IT infrastructure. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network, operational security, and telecom infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Design and Implementation:
- Design, deploy, and maintain network components, primarily focused on Cisco SDA, ACI, and ISE technologies.
- Design, deploy, and maintain inter-site and internet connections, including multi-ISP, own AS number, and LUCIX connections.
Network Monitoring and Maintenance:
- Improve and maintain our SolarWinds monitoring solution to ensure optimal network performance.
- Maintain, upgrade, and automate network configurations as per requirements.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and unwanted behaviour.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging network technologies, evaluate their potential, and conduct proof-of-concept tests.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Create comprehensive technical documentation and reports.
- Identify and report network-related issues and risks.
Technical Competencies:
- Strong background in network administration.
- In-depth knowledge of legacy Cisco networks.
- Solid understanding of Cisco SDA, ACI, and ISE technologies.
- Proficiency in SolarWinds monitoring solution.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Certifications:
- Professional network certifications, such as CCNP or CCIE, are highly valued.
