We are looking for an Enterprise Architect for a freelance project in Brussels, BE. The positions are Full-Time (5 days p/week) and hybrid over an initial duration of 12 Months, plus a high likelihood of extensions.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Enterprise Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and practical experience in enterprise architecture, with a proven track record of success in government environments. This role requires a hands-on approach, including the ability to act as a solution architect on key projects. A strong technical background, including development experience across various programming languages, is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, and roadmaps aligned with business strategy and government regulations.
- Provide architectural guidance and leadership to project teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles.
- Act as a solution architect on key projects, designing and implementing robust and scalable solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and translate them into architectural requirements.
- Conduct architecture assessments and reviews to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to enhance the organization's capabilities.
- Contribute to the development of IT strategies and roadmaps.
- Manage risks related to architecture and technology decisions.
- Mentor and coach junior architects and developers.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience as a Senior Enterprise Architect.
- Hold relevant certifications, including TOGAF 9, Archimate 2.0, and COBIT 5.
- Proven experience working in a government environment.
- Extensive experience as a developer in a variety of programming languages.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles and practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Native fluency in Dutch or French.
- Proficiency in English is a plus.
